Big stores built on the edges of urban areas stores their food in freezers which use much more energy than smaller shops. Try to shop closer to home in local shops. This will lower pollution because you won't have to drive as far. Buy eco-friendly products
Ask yourself how you think products are made. Choose those that have lower impact on the environment before manufacture. Did it use less energy, did it cause pollution, can packaging be recycled? Buy organic produce.
To increase the yield of their crops, farmers use pesticides that contain toxic chemicals. These pesticides have contaminated groundwater in many states. Organic farming does not use these methods and spares the enviroment. Dont buy ivory objects.
The African elephant has been hunted for their ivory tusks. Their numbers fell from 1.4 Million to 400,000. Buying items made of ivory promotes trafficking and you will not be able to take them home. No styrofoam containers
Dont buy styrofoam products. They are no recyclable or resusable. Complete waste of energy.
Use less packaging
When shopping, choose items with less packaging. Bring your own bag. Complain to manufacturers with excessive packaging.
